Departments

BRASA at UCLA is structured into different departments, each dedicated to a specific area of focus that collectively drives our organization’s mission. This division into departments allows BRASA to operate efficiently, with specialized teams handling everything from administration and finances to social events and professional development. Each department is led by a director or team of directors, ensuring focused leadership and clear accountability. This organized structure enables us to provide our members with diverse opportunities and resources while fostering a supportive community. Administrative

The Administrative Department, under the guidance of our president, ensures BRASA operates smoothly and aligns with its long-term vision. This department is pivotal in overseeing the club’s internal operations, coordinating with directors, and organizing key initiatives. Through careful planning and effective leadership, it supports the club’s mission and sustains its growth.

Outreach

The Outreach Department, led by the Director of Outreach, is essential for building and nurturing relationships with BRASA alumni, prospective students, and external partners. It introduces newly admitted Brazilian UCLA students to BRASA, supports their transition, and expands BRASA’s influence on campus and beyond. This department also fosters connections that enhance networking and professional growth opportunities for members.

Professional Affairs

Led by the Directors of Professional Development and Professional Relations, the Professional Affairs Department is committed to advancing members' career goals. This department provides resources like a research and internship database, facilitates professional workshops, and runs the Intra-BRASA Mentorship Program. By building connections with business clubs and industry leaders, it creates valuable opportunities for members to grow academically and professionally.

Finances

The Finances Department, managed by the Directors of Internal and External Finances, is responsible for the club’s financial health. This team manages budgets, tracks expenses, and conducts financial analysis to guide strategic decisions. Additionally, it seeks funding opportunities, organizes fundraising efforts, and maximizes UCLA’s support, ensuring BRASA’s activities are financially sustainable.

Marketing

Under the direction of the Marketing Director, this department amplifies BRASA’s visibility and impact. Responsible for creating engaging campaigns, managing social media presence, and driving membership growth, the Marketing Department ensures BRASA’s mission and events reach a broader audience. Through strategic branding and outreach, it plays a key role in elevating BRASA’s reputation within and outside UCLA.

Social Events

Led by the Director of Social Events, this department is dedicated to fostering community engagement within BRASA. By organizing a diverse range of social activities, it provides members with opportunities to connect, network, and unwind. Through its creative approach, the Social Events team strengthens bonds within the organization and enriches the member experience.
